70s Vintage Boho Dress
70s Vintage Boho DressBeautiful asian inspired boho dress with a crossover bodice, empire waist, gathered skirt, and wide kimono sleeves. The dress has a half back zipper and attached black ribbon tie. Made in a beautiful bright floral print cotton.
Regarding the age of this dress, I have dated as being from the late 60s / early 70s due to the material and style. It is labeled Mel Mortman, who designed in the 60s and 70s. However, it also has a "vintage" label on the dress. The 70s boho style was influenced by styes from the 20s, and therefore possibly marketed as "vintage" or "vintage style" by Mel Mortman in the 70s. It is also possible this "vintage" label was added at a later date by a contemporary reseller. And finally, this dress could have been made in the 90s, but the Mel Mortman company was long out of business at that time, as far as I can tell.
