60s / 70s Polyester Hostess Maxi Dress
60s/70s Polyester Maxi Dress
Before I get to the actual dress details I just have to comment on the skirt. The print is just amazing! It reminds me of middle eastern architecture or stained glass windows. Unlike many of the mid-century hostess dresses, the colors on this dress are a bit more subdued. This is a one-piece dress. The bodice is made of a black textured polyester, which is on the lighter side. There are side bust darts, and a collar. The dress zips down the front with an invisible zipper. The skirt is gathered and there are loops fora belt but the belt is missing. The skirt fabric has a similar feel as the top but has a slightly silky sheen. There are no material tags on the is dress and the actual fabric is unknown.
