50s Vintage Metallic Shirtwaist Dress
50s Vintage Metallic Shirtwaist Dress
Absolutely amazing vintage rockabilly shirtwaist dress. This dress is made in a very sheer royal and navy blue plaid with stripes made of gold and silver metallic or lurex threads. The bodice buttons down the front with 5 small gold ball buttons. It has a sailor collar that ties in the front, side bust darts, vertical tucks, and capped sleeves. The bodice is full. The skirt has a nipped waist and an inverted back pleat. There are loops for a belt but the belt is missing. This dress has been photographed with and without a crinoline (crinoline is not included) to show the fabric. I do believe it was not made to be worn with one.
