40s / 50s Vintage Sharkskin Novelty Print Dress

Amazing vintage new age dress in an wonderful iridescent novelty print fabric. This dress has several significant issues and is being sold AS/IS. The bodice of the dress has a jewel neckline, a front center seam, and double side bust darts. The back of the bodice has shoulder tucks, double back tucks, and a full metal zipper. The short sleeves are ruched and have black velvet tabs that cover the ruching. The drop waist skirt is fully gathered and has an attached black crinoline.

CONDITION ISSUES: There are several issues that I did not catch due to poor lighting in the shop where I purchased this dress. The good news is that if you plan to wear this dress to dimly lit function chances are other's won't notice the imperfections as well! So, due to the poor lighting and the iridescent nature of the material, I did not catch the significant area of fade on the bodice of the dress (photo's above). There is also a small amount of fade under the arms. The other significant issue is the shredding on the side bodice (last photo above). I did notice it when the dress was purchased and hoped to have it repaired, but have decided to sell the dress instead. In addition to those two major issues there are a few tiny spots on the bodice (not significant) and one small water spot in the folds of the skirt. If this dress fit me I would keep it for myself and wear it with a sweater or topper. Since it doesn't, I'm selling it for it's purchase price.
