40s Vintage Formal Dress

Vintage evening dress in a heavy purple damask. This amazing sheath dress has a sweetheart neckline, princess seams which are gathered along the bust, wide shoulder straps, a low cut back, and a full metal Lightening zipper (zipper date of 1949). The skirt has two front pockets. The back of the skirt is fuller cut and drapes beautifully. There is a panel at the back hemline that creates a small train. The bodice is lined in a cranberry satin and there is boning in the front and side seams. A beautiful party dress from Darlings of Edinburg.
