60s Metallic Empire Waist Formal Dress
60s Metallic Empire Waist Formal DressVintage 60s Mad Men era floor length party dress. Made of a lightweight blue linen-like fabric with silver and blue metallic threads that form a plaid pattern. This sleeveless dress has an empire waist with back pleats and an aline skirt. The bodice is square cut with vertical bust darts, wide shoulder straps, and a low cut back accented with a bow. The dress is fully lined in a pink satin fabric and has a back zipper. A beautiful dress for a formal occasion. There are a few minor condition issues to note, on each side there are two small black dots which are shown above. There is also a light brown spot on the front of the dress about 7" from the hem. The shading you see just below the bust line is the photos is the interior seam allowance. I thought there was another area of discoloration below the empire waist, but I cannot find it. I may have lifted it (which I attempted) or perhaps it's visible in certain light. The metallic effect of this dress is so lovely that the imperfections are minor.
